Thursday Thoughts: Is True Crime Media Becoming Problematic?

I want to pre-face this post by saying that I am a regular consumer of true crime content. I find the subject interesting. Namely: what causes people to tick, and act the way that they do.

I understand that this isn’t a simple subject matter, but I’ll be giving my opinion as a person who consumes the content.

5 Podcasts I Love!

Photo by Anna Tarazevich on Pexels.com

During the lockdowns in 2020, I found myself listening to and enjoying podcasts, especially when I was running errands, or playing video games.
I tend to listen to true crime podcasts, spirituality podcasts, and self-help podcasts the most.
I also listen to other subjects such as conspiracy theories, and gaming.

In today’s post, I’ll be sharing 10 of my favourite podcasts.
This list is in no particular order.

Law of Attraction Changed My Life

I really like the host, Francesca’s energy. She’s down to earth and passionate about this subject. I know this topic isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but if you do believe in this subject, check this podcast out!

Theories of the Third Kind

I came across this podcast by chance one day, and I’m glad I did. I find it engaging with hosts who have calming voices. I enjoy their approach to the subjects and their own thoughts on how convincing a theory is.

Redhanded

Redhanded was my most listened to podcast in 2020 and 2021. This is a well-researched podcast and the hosts are respectful to the victims of the crimes that they talk about.

Sleep With Me

Sleep issues are no stranger to me. They visit me quite often. I have used many sleep aids, but this podcast has been the most helpful. The host, Scooter, has a soothing voice, and tells stories in a way that are interesting enough to listen to, but something you can drift off while listening to.

I cannot recommend this podcast enough if you have issues with insomnia.

Self: Love, Healing & Acceptance

This is one of the more recent podcasts that I started listening to. She shares fantastic advice that applies to life. I’ve learned a lot during the brief time I have listened.

Experimental Content

I’ve been publishing content on a daily basis for the last 2 weeks, or so. At the moment, I’m just toying with the idea of potentially turning this into a daily post blog, adding new types of content in between, or seeing if my current schedule is worth keeping.

I’ll be keeping my usual Monday, Wednesday and Friday slots during this time, if anything changes, I’ll be sure to update my socials.
