Goal Setting & Plans!

I have done a fair bit of reflecting as of late, and I don’t seem to set reasonable goals. The goals resemble climbing Kilimanjaro in my underwear, but I digress.
From now on, my goals will be obtainable in areas that need them and/or things I would have fun accomplishing!

In today’s post, I’ll be sharing what I have planned. Nothing is set in stone yet, and the plans could change depending on my needs at the time!

What I’ve Learned Living La Vida Lockdown

Not a flattering angle, but one that sums up my life at the moment

If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry. Truer words have yet to be spoken during the seemingly never-ending lockdowns the UK has been inflicted with!
As irritating as they are, I can safely say that’d I’d rather be irritated than dead. I don’t have time for that, I’ve got things to do!

I won’t pretend that it has been smooth sailing throughout, but I have managed to learn quite a lot about myself, my needs, aspirations etc during my time in government grounding.

Let’s Talk Video Games: Updates & What I’ve Been Playing!

I’ve been working on gaming projects as of late, some of those won’t be ready for a while and others need some input from other people! So I’ll use this post to talk a little about those and what I’ve been playing in the meantime.

How I Knew I Wanted To Be A Writer!

At different points in my life, I’ve wanted to work within different fields. I always seemed to change my mind, sometimes I would just feel like it didn’t fit who I was, although I wasn’t sure who I was back then.
In some cases, I was put off by the words and opinions of others. “Get serious”, are two words I’d hear often.
I used these reasons, along with my ongoing mental health struggles, I just gave up on the goals. It was for the better, though.

The earliest career path I remember wanting to take as a child was working with fresh water habitats, after picking up books about pond life and river life in the library after I was taken off the school’s reading scheme.
I remember being interested in the anatomy of leeches the most.

People around me weren’t interested in what I was saying, so it was never encouraged and the fickle mind of a child wandered elsewhere.

As a teenager, I had dabbled with the idea of being a teacher, but I was told I was too quiet, then an unpleasant appointment with a career advisor nipped that idea in the bud.
It truly made me uncomfortable. I had no idea what I would be doing at 16, I barely knew what day it was half the time!

I wasn’t ready for college, either time I was sent. So I won’t dwell on this for long. I remember wanting to work with troubled children, or with social services. Sadly, my mental health issues had started to manifest at this stage, and when a lecturer told me that my idea was too difficult to get into, I gave up. This wasn’t the main reason, but it didn’t help.

I always used to enjoy English classes in school, and when I fell into a rut I decided to take up writing again.
It was nice to get a break from feeling stuck, and over time I found myself becoming more confident.
I got noticed by Geek Blogs Unite and joined that communoty, and I even got another writing gig with Esports Wales!

Now, I plan on improving what I do, and branching out.

2021 Gaming Goals/Resolutions!

I’m just going to be honest here, I lost track of what I had planned originally in 2020.
I had my eye procedure, I joined Esports Wales and my mental health took a battering during the many lockdowns the UK experienced.

I completed a few games and I unlocked at least one platinum trophies, but that was it.
I’m okay with the progress and I’ll set those goals a little lower next time. 😋
