While browsing for content inspiration, I stumbled across this prompt and it felt like a great idea for a blog post!
Here is my take on the subject matter. You can find the prompt I used, and more prompts, here.

Mental health issues can leave you feeling isolated. It can be difficult to understand what is going on in your head. Trying to communicate that to others can feel even more daunting.
Within reason, sharing your mental health experiences can alleviate the feeling of isolation. Knowing that another person has shared your experience can help you find ways to manage your own symptoms.
Of course, you have to tread carefully when sharing experiences with others. You don’t want to share anything potentially triggering.

Hearing about issues that other people were experiencing helped me towards my own mental health diagnosis, and medication needs.
I currently take propranolol for anxiety symptoms, and I had no idea they had this particular use, until a friend mentioned it helped them.
I’ve also learned that certain ways that I have behaved, in the past, were actually symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder.
Overall, it’s comforting knowing that someone else will understand your struggle, and you gain more insight than you would from medical texts.
And on that note, thank you for reading my post!
