I feel more optimistic for 2022 than I have done for any new year previously. Towards the end of 2021, I realised that I was in dire need of change in my life, so decided to finally put the work in. I feel as if I’ve set some good foundations to work from, and I have plans for 2022.
I spend too much time doom scrolling on social media when I have downtime; this time could be easily spent doing something a little more beneficial to me. I have a plethora of self-help books, as well as other genres, so imagine how much reading I could get done using my spare moments for reading, rather than mindlessly scrolling through TikTok.

I tend to listen to true crime podcasts the most, followed by self-development podcasts. I’m planning on picking my favourite self-help podcast episodes, making a playlist and listening to them whenever I leave the house. It’ll bring me comfort, while I consume helpful information.
More Water & Less Sugary Drinks!
I often talk about how often I consume carbonated, caffinated drinks; sometimes I will opt for these over water. There’s no sugarcoating this; a handful of my issues are exacerbated by my constant need to consume the wrong type of drinks, and the dehydration that accompanies that.
Not consuming enough water can affect your body in many ways; for example, dizziness and nausea. Things that have affected my life on more than one occasion. I might need to set reminders for this, but I’m adamant I will do better in this regard.
Learn Helpful Skills!
I’ve wanted to get back into the world of education for a while, but it just isn’t feasible as of now. It doesn’t mean that I can’t learn anything in the meantime, however. We live in the internet era, and information is incredibly easy to come by.
There is an abundance of educational material out there, and some of it is even free! I’m going to be looking into subjects that interest me and work from there.
