My Time In Emotional Regulation Therapy So Far

At the time of this post, I have completed 2 out of 12 sessions, and my third is this coming Thursday. I’m going to be as open and honest as I can be in this post and talk about my experiences as articulately as possible.

I have seen a little progress in regards to my thinking, but nothing remarkable. I’m chalking this down to being very early into the treatment plan and new habits taking time to stick.

After the first two sessions, I can identify my irrational thoughts quicker than I usually can. Still, I’m struggling to implement the methods to deal with them.
I’ve had two emotional outbursts. I have been struggling for the past 3 days with irrational thoughts, paranoid thoughts, and the fear of being abandoned.

At this stage, I am honestly skeptical that this treatment plan will be of any help to me. I’ve been in different variations of therapy for nearly 12 years, so you can imagine how tired I feel.

I’m going to see this through, though. I know that I need the help, and maybe this will help?
I can’t really do much else right now.
