I saw that the wonderful Michelle of A Geek Girl’s Guide posted this tag and it interested me, so here’s my version!

The last single player game you played

Little green man?!

I’ve been playing the 2020 remake of the 2006 game, Destroy all Humans. The original game is one of my favourite games of all times.
I’m not sure if I’ll review it yet, I’ll see how I feel post-game!

The last multiplayer game you played

Seflie!

I’ve been playing catch up with Destiny 2 since I am way behind, I’ve caught up with the DLC story content I’ve missed, now I just need to buy Beyond Light down the line.

A game you’ve played through multiple times

No fear!

I’ve played through a lot of games, the one of most significance to me is Skyrim.
To stop part becoming an essay I’ll link a post about Skyrim and why it means so much to me here.

A game in your favourite genre

I’m a fan of anything with an open-world. Something where you can go off and do your own thing, side quests and whatnot.
Skyrim falls into this category. I can spend hours playing and not take part in a main quest.

A game in your backlog

I’ll get to it!

I won’t go into this fully, but this is considered the biggest sin in my backlog. 😂

The game you’ve put the most hours into

An oldie but a goodie!

I’d imagine it’d be Super Mario World, I’ve revisited this game many times since 1994.

A game you never finished

There’s far too many to name here, but Borderlands: The Pre Sequel comes to mind, not sure why. I just stopped playing a few hours in.

A game in third person

Good vibes! 😎

Spyro the Dragon comes to mind. I also had this screenshot saved, so win/win.

A game in first person

All Ghillied Up!

The Call of Duty series comes to mind thinking of First Person games. The screenshot is from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered.

A game you’ve replayed

Sonic Mania is my favourite Sonic the Hedgehog game at the time of this post. I’m hoping to review it down the line!

A game you play to relax

Minecraft, this game just chills me out to my core. It always has.
I can sit there for what feels like minutes farming, mining and setting goals to aim for.

A game that gets you excited

Any multiplayer has this effect on me.

A game from your favourite developers

A classic.

Your favourite indie game

Simulacra by Wales Interactive, I thoroughly enjoyed this title. I even wrote about it here!

Your favourite AAA game

At the time of this post, it’s still Skyrim.
Nobody is shocked! 😂

Your favourite board game

I haven’t played as many board games as I’d like to, but Dream Phone comes to mind. Always have a laugh whenever I’ve played that.

Your favourite multiplayer game

Your favourite single player game

Skyrim. 😂

Your favourite game series

I really love Sonic the Hedgehog although those games are very hit or miss.

Your favourite game from childhood

This was one of my favourite games growing up. I have fond memories of plaing this with a childhood friend.

An overrated game

I get so much flak for this, so I’ll just say that I thought that the original Final Fantasy 7 was overrated.
Keep in mind, this is my opinion and not a fact.

An underrated game

Your guilty pleasure game

I don’t really have one. I’m okay with what I play being out there.

A game based on a movie

If you haven’t played X-Origins: Wolverine, play it!

A game with an awesome soundtrack

I have a love/hate relationship with Catherine, the soundtrack is amazing though!

A game with awesome artwork

A game with awesome voice acting

I throughly enjoyed the voice acting from the Batman Arkham trilogy.

A game best played on controller

I don’t play games on PC all that often, I guess 2D platformers are better suited for controllers though.

A game best played on mouse and keyboard

Much like my last point, I don’t have much experience with pc gaming. I’m told that first person shooters are best experienced with a mouse and keyboard, though.

An upcoming game you’re excited for

I’ve been on a Resident Evil kick lately, I’m really looking forward to this!

I agree with you about Final Fantasy 7. While I still think it’s a good game, it’s low on my top 10. I much preferred 9 from the PS1 era. It definitely hurts when people say they haven’t played Witcher 3 yet 😂 (my favourite game of all time). If you’re a fan of RPG’s, it’s a game you should try.

I am planning on playing The Witcher 3, I just wind up getting caught up with other games. It does look fun though!

I agree with you on Sleeping Dogs 100%. I was hyped for it back in 2013 when it was announced but I never got a chance to play it, until March/April this year, and it is such a great game. It’s a shame the studio shut down because they were working on a sequel and it was going to be incredibly ambitious.

I’m suprised it was as slept on as it was. Whoever has the IP now really needs to revive it for current gen systems. It has so much potential.

Thanks so much for doing this special piece. I’m inspired, and I’m going to do one of my own in the coming weeks. I need a bit of time to think, and I’ve already got this week booked.
